Sylvie + 5 More Activities to Target “Different” and “Turn”

Sylvie by Jennifer Sattler is a colorful book about a flamingo who discovers she and her family are pink because of what they eat. She begins to wonder what would happen if she ate other things… grapes, chocolate ice cream, a hat? As she conducts her experiments, we see her turn different colors from green to orange with white stripes! This book provides many opportunities to model the core words “different” and “turn”.
After you read Sylvie, try these other activities while modeling core vocabulary on the child’s AAC system…
