Make Play Doh hearts and flowers. Lay out pink and red Play Doh containers, rolling pins and cookie cutters. Take the Play Doh out of the containers. Model how to ask for items from each other (e.g., “Can you please give me the rolling pin?”).

Valentine’s Baking

Go around your kitchen and gather the ingredients to make sugar cookies. Model phrases like “take out the butter” or “take the sugar out. Measure the ingredients and lay them out in front of you. Ask your child to give you each ingredient as you add them to the mix.

Use a heart shaped cookie cutter and decorate with red or pink icing and red or pink sprinkles. When finished, talk about who you can share the cookies with. Pack up some cookies to give to family or friends.
